It's so hard to believe my baby turned one on November 15th and walking already! We had a party at home with family. She devoured the cake of course! Like her mommy!

Such a sweet little boy! He stole my heart from the time he was born. I can hardly believe he is 3 already. He is certainly a mommy's boy, but he loves his daddy! He is full of energy and hardly ever has a quiet moment. He loves to talk and entertain ANYONE he comes in contact with. His favorites have now moved from Barney to Tom & Jerry. He's always the "kitty-cat" in his pretend play. Unfortunately, he insists that Emma's the "mouse" so we have to watch him carefully for her sake! He still loves to cuddle with his mommy and I hope that never ends. Some of the best parts of my day are snuggling with him before bedtime and first thing in the mornings.

Emma Rose is a precious 11 month old girl. Her sole intent is to get a smile from whomever she makes eye contact with. She is happy all the time. She has been a joy so far. She has been very independent from the beginning. She does not like to snuggle. When she is ready for bed she just wants me to put her down and leave her alone. She puts herself fast asleep. (I rocked Zane for 2 1/2 years) Until just recently, she did not even like to be held while getting her bottle. She does allow me those few moments of pleasure now! She just took her first step yesterday. I can't believe how fast she has grown without notice. It just seems like yesterday she was born and now she's ready for college! She already voices her likes and dislikes, especially to Zane. She constantly reminds him of her presence when he tries to take up too much "mommy time".

Family Photo Day
Our first and only family photo shoot so far! What a time! Grandmom and I drove separately with Emma Rose so daddy could leave soon after his family shot (didn't figure he'd want to stick around for the chaos sure to come). So we're inside dressing Emma Rose and I look up and see Zane walking toward me with daddy behind. Zane is chomping on a bright blue sucker which has stained all around his mouth !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried to remain calm as daddy proceeded to tell me WHY this was allowed before pictures. Did I mention his teeth were blue as well? Turns out daddy had experienced one of Zane's meltdowns in the convenient store while getting gas and he gave in (we've all been there). Luckily I was able to get it off with the handy all purpose baby wipes and the pictures turned out great!
